SnapStick Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 5, 2026

This policy describes how the SnapStick Chrome extension (“the extension”) handles information when you use it. SnapStick is built so that sticker creation and your library stay on your device. There is no SnapStick account and no SnapStick backend that receives your tab captures or stickers.

What the extension does

SnapStick lets you capture the visible area of the active browser tab (when you start the feature), select a region or subject, and produce transparent PNG stickers. You can save stickers in the extension, copy them to the clipboard, or download them.

Data stored on your device

The extension may store locally (via Chrome’s extension storage):

This data remains on your computer inside your browser profile unless you remove it (for example by deleting stickers in the extension or uninstalling the extension).

What is not collected by SnapStick

SnapStick does not:

Permissions (why they exist)

Network / third-party services

On first use, the segmentation model file used for assisted cut-out may be downloaded from Google’s model hosting used by MediaPipe (for example storage.googleapis.com). That download is a model asset, not your page content. Your captures and stickers are not uploaded to SnapStick. Processing runs in the extension’s contexts on your device.

Chrome itself and your operating system may handle updates and security as usual; that is outside this extension’s control.

Clipboard

If you use Copy, the extension writes the sticker PNG to the system clipboard so you can paste it into other apps. The extension does not read your clipboard contents.

Children’s privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13, and it is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the extension or legal requirements change. The “Effective date” at the top will be updated when we do.
